2nd Fire

On December 21, 2022 at approximately 10:49 PM, the Escondido Police and Fire Emergency Communication Center received reports of a vacant house fire on W. 2^nd Avenue near S. Quince Street. A full structure fire response was dispatched and arrived within minutes. The first Engine Company to arrive reported a single-story house fully involved with fire.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire in approximately 20 minutes. There was no damage to adjacent structures and no one was injured.

Eighteen Firefighters remained on scene for approximately 90 minutes ensuring the fire was completely extinguished. SDG&E assisted with ensuring electricity was disconnected.

Cause and origin of the fire is currently being investigated by Escondido Fire Investigators and Escondido Police Detectives.
